Below are some frequently asked questions to help your photography shoot go as smoothly as possible:
When should I schedule?
I recommend reaching out as soon as your interest peaks to seek an appointment. Each type of photo may lend itself to better times of year - Family photos before the holidays, graduation photos in advance of the school's submission requirement, or your need for a head shot for work before the end of year. Typically, I would like at least two weeks to prepare for the shoot, and consult with you about your hopes and expectations for the resulting pictures.
If you are seeking prints, a photo book, or a canvas, those may take additional time. prints, canvas, and other memorabilia are available through my online store. If you are seeking a package or other print sizes, please contact me.
The digital proofs will be available for you for review a week after your shoot. The final photographs will be available two weeks later via digital download.
How long does the photo shoot last?
Each shoot will vary in length. I like to work with natural light, and that can vary throughout the day. We will schedule the length of the shoot based on your goals. Head shots and work with newborns will take less time than Weddings or Engagement shoots. At minimum, I would plan at least an hour.
What do I need to have ready for the day of the photo shoot?
If we are photographing you, your newborn, or your family please have any props, clothing, blankets washed and ready for the photo shoot. If we are taking photographs in your home, please ensure the room we are photographing is ready.
When should I expect my photos?
Your digital proofs will be ready one week after the photo shoot. Final edited pictures will be available two weeks after the proof selection.
